Young Travel Writer 2015 Competition

Two high school students will join the West Australian newspaper on assignment in Exmouth in April to swim with whale sharks. They will fly from Perth to Exmouth, stay there for two nights, explore North West Cape and swim with the whale sharks. Throughout that, they will be working on travel writing and photography, with a view to producing stories and pictures to be published in the West's travel pages.

This competition is open to to students in WA schools, Years 8-12. Students need to send their own original story, of 300-400 words, about a local, interstate or overseas travel experience or destination.

The competition closes on Friday 6th March.
