At Wundor, they plan to champion interesting, unusual fiction in all of its forms. Brevity can be one of literature’s great virtues, and they do not believe in filling out short stories into novella form if they are supposed to be short stories, or lengthening a novella to try to make a novel, when the story suits the novella form just fine.
If you have a single piece of work, a collection of pieces or a brilliant novella on your hands, they would like to read it. The only stipulation is that the sum total word count of your submission should fall between 5,000 and 45,000 words.
Prizes are as follows:
- The winner of the inaugural short fiction contest will receive £500.
The winner and two runners up will have their work published in full or an extract will be published on the Wundor website. Their work will be strongly considered for publication in print, in which case a publishing contract will be offered.
Entry fees is £10 per entry. Maximum of two entries per writer.
The deadline is 28 February 2017 and winners will be announced at the end of March 2017.
