Writers Bloc Online Courses

Found in: News

Writers Bloc is proud to introduce, with support from the Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund, an entirely free online series of workshops for emerging and established writers alike to hone their skills.

Writers Bloc have secured Australia’s best and most charming presenters: Benjamin Law (The Family Law), Alison Croggon (The Bone Queen) and Patrick Lenton (A Man Made Entirely of Bats and Momentum Books). They’re going to be lifting the veil on the creative industry’s toughest topics from freelancing to grant writing to social media. For these webinars, all you need is a computer with a decent internet connection and you’ll be able to learn from our publishing industry experts.

Writers Bloc decided to create this series to support all writers in Australia and around the world. Not everyone can have access to writing resources due to financial constraints or because of living in regional and remote areas. They wanted to bridge this gap and provide a resource that will help the next generation of Australian voices shine.

The courses are as follows:

  • Freelancing 101 with Benjamin Law
  • How to Write a Grant with Alison Grogon
  • Social Media for Writers with Patrick Lenton
  • Developing Writing Habits: Email course
