The Society of Women Writers NSW 2017 Writing Competitions

The Society of Women Writers NSW will be running three National Writing Competitions in 2017, and entries are now open.
 These competitions are open to both members and non-members.

The Competitions are: National Poetry ($300 first prize), National Short Story ($500 first prize) and National Non-Fiction ($500 first prize). 

  • Closing date for Poetry is 12 June 2017

  • Closing date for National Short Story is 10 July 2017.
  • Closing date for Non-fiction is 7 August 2017.

Entry forms can be downloaded on the website. You may submit multiple entries. 

Be sure to read the terms and conditions before submitting entries.

Winners will be announced on November 8 at the Society’s luncheon at the State Library of NSW.
