The Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival 2014

Found in: News

writingWA in conjunction with Arts Margaret River presented two events for this years Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival.

It was great to see a record turn out and so much enthusiasm from audiences. Congratulations to all involved and a special thank you to Helen Allan, Festival Coordinator, for all her hard work!

If you missed out you can catch the videos here: http://www.proximitywa.org/videos/

The first, ‘Book Club by the Beach with Sally-Ann Jones and Loraine Teasdale’ was specifically targeted to book clubs and included an author talk by Sally-Ann Jones on her latest novel Stella’s Sea with complimentary coffee and cake at the Sea Gardens Cafe in Prevelly. Followed by a guided walk with local expert Loraine Teasdale through the splendid surrounding landscape.

The second event ‘A Glass of Wine and a Good Book with David Whish-Wilson’ was a relaxing evening at Margaret River wine bar Swings Taphouse & Kitchen. Audiences enjoyed a complimentary glass of fine Swings & Roundabouts wine while listening to a conversation between crime fiction author David Whish-Wilson and writingWA's Deputy Chair Denis Haskell.
