The Footpath Library's 2016 Epic! Short Story Competition

Found in: News

The Footpath Library's 2016 Epic! Short Story Competition is open for entries from primary and secondary students across the country.

This year’s theme is ‘Friendship.’

Chair of the 2016 judging panel, author Ken Spillman, says:
“Anyone who has ever worked with young people can’t help being knocked sideways by the creativity and insight they bring to the table. The Footpath Library’s Epic! Short Story Competition provides an awesome opportunity for school students to exercise their creative selves, have some fun, get involved in a fantastic cause, have their work read by top Aussie authors and maybe even bring a little glory to their school. Oh, and did I mention the cool prizes?”

There will be awarding six major prizes in for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in two age-based categories: Primary Students and Secondary Students.

The competition closes on 30 September 2016.
