The Flora Smith Encouragement Award for WA Poets

Found in: News

The KSP Writers' Centre is pleased to announce the launch of the Flora Smith Encouragement Award as part of the 2016 KSP Poetry Awards.

The award, which offers the winner a $100 prize and certificate, is for WA-born or current WA residents over the age of 18 who have never published a full collection of poetry either in print or online.

Poems should be from 14-50 lines.

There is a $5 entry fee and entrants may submit a maximum of three entries.

This new award is sponsored by KSP-member and Poets@KSP member Flora Smith in memory of her beloved cousin Annette Cameron, life-long friend of Katharine Susannah Prichard.

The award ceremony will be held at the Centre in December. Entries close 30 September.
