“In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes” - Andy Warhol (1968)

The Stretch Arts Festival will offer a huge range of projects, events, performances, workshops, high quality arts and cultural experiences and learning opportunities. Inspired by Anday Warhol's quote, they are currently offering spotlight spaces that are aimed at amateur and emerging artists who would like the opportunity to demonstrate their talents for 15 minutes.

Talents may include:

  • Poets
  • Story tellers
  • Monologues
  • Musicians
  • Dancers
  • Comedians
  • Circus performers
  • Theatre arts

There are 6 designated spaces, with over 36 timeslots for you to demonstrate your talents busker-style. These spaces are set in various locations around the festival such as pathways, grassed areas, and the boardwalk. You will be allocated 15 min timeslots at each space, and given the option to move through all 6 spaces during the course of the day (with breaks between sets).

Artists will be paid a small fee plus the option to busk. There is no age limit for these space, however children under 16 will need a parent or guardian to supervise them.

To apply, please complete the performers form online here.

To be held on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 May 2017.
