Redgum Young Writers Award - submissions open!

Now in its second year the Young Writers’ Award provides a unique opportunity for two young writers to become published authors. Young authors aged between 9 to 13 are invited to apply. Nominations for the 2017 Award are being sought in the following categories:

  • The Children’s Picture Book category will require a short, structured story, ficti on or non-fiction, of up to 250 words,
  • The Children’s Short Story category will require a work of fiction up to 1000 words.

The winners in the Award Categories will not only have their book published but they will also receive a $250 Redgum Book Club gift voucher to help build their own personal library. All entrants will receive a recognition certificate and two notable mentions in each category will receive a $100 Redgum Voucher.
