Would you like writingWA to help promote your new publication?

If you are a Western Australian author or illustrator with a recently published or forth-coming full-length work, then please tell writingWA about it.

Information required

Send us the following details:

  • basic information: title, author, illustrator, publisher, publication date.
  • brief blurb of approx. 100 words (in the general style of back-cover copy).
  • jpeg of cover image.
  • link to entry on publisher's website or point of sale.

Contact us

The best way to send us this information is via the 'Submit a Post' link on our main website.

You can also email us at info@writingwa.org but please put all the relevant information in the body of the email as text, not just attached as a jpg or pdf.

Book reviews

If you would like your new publication to be considered for review, then please post a copy to the writingWA office. Submission of your new publication does not guarantee a review.

The address is:

writingWA

Alexander Library Building

25 Francis Street

Perth WA 6000

Alternatively you can drop a review copy in to our office (The Alexander Library Building is the State Library of Western Australia).

Where we'll share the information

We'll promote your publication to our readership via our monthly 'Love to Read Local' e-newsletter.  This newsletter includes reviews and listings of new books by WA authors, illustrators and publishers, and has several thousand subscribers. For more information about writingWA's e-newsletters, see the Subscribe page on our main website.

writingWA also supplies book reviews to several print and online publications.

Your book launch and other events

We'd also love to share information about your book launch and other events.  Again, the best way to send us the information is via the 'Submit a Post' link on our main website. Your events will then be published to the Events section of the News page of our main website.  They'll also be considered for inclusion in our fortnightly industry e-newsletter and social media communications.
