Weerianna St Media in Roebourne, near Karratha has been awarded the David Dolan Heritage Award for Best Newcomer.
Founder, Tyson Mowarin and his team have been recognised for their contribution to preserving Indigenous culture, heritage and history.
A passionate digital media storteller, Mr Mowarin says it's an honour to receive the award.
He described the range of stories the team created for the award.
"We've gathered up to fifty short stories from the local area, on all sorts of topics like childhood memories to nail art and cross culture awareness training," he said.
Mr Mowarin also revealed plans of a Ngarluma boardgame that he is working on with the local Indigenous community in the Roebourne area.
Tyson has also worked on literary projects such as the amazing interactive story Ngurrara, as part of Yijala Yala Project, only a small sample of his cultural contributions.
