The Margaret River Short Story Competition has fast become one of the more diverse and inspiring short story competitions in the country. The list of previous contributors includes published authors Christine Piper, Mark Smith, Isabelle Li, Jo Riccioni, and Michelle Wright, as well as many more voices set to lead the next generation of extraordinary Australian writers such as Cassie Hamer, Melanie Napthine, Magdalena McGuire and Melanie Cheng.

The competition is open to authors of any age and nationality. Winning and shortlisted stories are published in both print and eBook format.

Entries are open from the 1st August to the 15th September 2016.
