KSP Speculative Fiction Competition

KSP Writers' Centre is now accepting submissions for its annual Speculative Fiction competition. Speculative fiction includes the genres of horror, fantasy, science fiction and paranormal. The competition is open to Australian residents only and entries are invited on an open theme.

Please submit stories of 500-2000 words (youth category); 1,000-2,500 words (adult category).

Entry fees are as follows:

  • YOUTH: Free (10 to 20 years),
  • ADULT: 1 story $10; 2 stories $15; 3 stories $20

Select entrants invited to read their story at KSP’s End of Year Awards Ceremony
Cash prizes for winners in each category
Certificates on offer (subject to discretion of judge): First, second, third places, plus highly commended and commended places, and an under 14s encourgement award

Winning entries offered publication in Swan Magazine
