Hawkline Press

Found in: News

Hawkline Press is a brand new publishing project from Perth-based author and poet, S.T. Cartledge, who is aiming to bring the bold and exciting voices of local/emerging poets to a larger audience.

Their goal is to be as supportive and transparent as possible in publishing quality products and paying the poets for their work. The current focus is exclusively on finding poetry submissions and getting an initial batch of books ready to launch by late 2017.

If interested, Hawkline Press is currently only seeking poetry manuscripts that are 80-150 pages long. Page counts outside of this range will be considered within reason, especially if the poet's work is to their liking. Verse novels are encouraged, as are collections with a strong aesthetic theme. They do not want classic poetry or flowery language filled with symbolism and metaphor. They want weird, dangerous, fun, form-breaking work. Go nuts! View the full submission details here.

There are no submission fees, contest fees or prizes. There will be payment in the form of royalties.

To submit, send your manuscripts to along with any queries you may have.
