Endeavour House Writer in Residence Program 2017

Found in: News

Australian writers are invited to apply for the Endeavour House Writer in Residence Program located in Canberra.

In its inaugural year, the program is a recognition of the value and importance of writers in our public discourse and an acknowledgement of the role writers and storytellers play in shaping our national identity.

For the artist, it gives an opportunity to focus single-mindedly on developing a stated project.

With generous support from Endeavour House, The Australia Institute, and sponsors, this program aims to assist an Australian writer to significantly develop their next book during a period of residency at Endeavour House.

The winning writer will undertake a residency of a minimum of two weeks at Endeavour House, including modest accommodation, a room or desk on The Level and a stipend of $2,500 per week.

The residency would culminate in a public talk about the writer’s work in general or a writing workshop.

Applications must be emailed to writersinresidence@endeavourhouse.com.au before 5pm on Monday 6 March 2017. Applications received will be acknowledged via email.
