The Children's Peace Literature Award of $3,000 (split into junior and senior categories) is for books for children published between 1 July 2015 and 30 June 2017 with a theme or main character(s) encouraging the peaceful resolution of conflict and/or promoting peace at the global, local or interpersonal level. The Award is offered by Psychologists for Peace (South Australia).
Issues dealt with in previous winning entries include bullying, racism, sexism, domestic violence and abuse. The aim is to provide examples for young people of how to deal constructively with conflict.
Applications close on Monday 31 July 2017.
